The NotWedding Charleston Save the Date

I regularly find myself be-bopping around the Lowcountry as I hit up to the top bridal events along the coast. Quite frequently, I'll ask my husband if he wants to tag-a-long and over the years, there's only one event that regularly find its way on his calendar -The NotWedding.  There's always music and dancing, great bites and champagne and loads of inspiration from the Lowcountry's top wedding creatives, and, most importantly, dudes love it.  Well, ladies and gentlemen, the crew is headed back to the Carolinas and is making a pit stop in Charleston on December 7th at the Historic Rice Mill Building, so in honor of the big bash, we're sharing The NotWedding Save the Date captured by the amazing Becky Williamson. Coastal Ivory and Navy Wedding at the Rice Mill Building

Ashley + Greg were married in the heart of the Holy City at the French Huguenot Church in a traditional ceremony.  After saying 'I do', the couple and their bridal party spent some time posing on the cobblestone streets with their photographer, Dana Cubbage, before joining their guests at the Rice Mill Building for an elegant ivory + navy wedding designed by Candice of Yoj Events.  Branch Design Studio created stunning floral arrangements filled with orchids, astilbe and ranunculus while Good Food Catering delivered a tasty array of Lowcountry cuisine.  We're loving Bride Ashley's gorgeous gown, the beautiful Jim Smeal creation and the cozy lounge area.

The NotWedding Charleston {Save-the-Date}

As many of you have heard, The NotWedding is heading to the Lowcountry in TWO short weeks!  This big ol’ fake wedding is taking place at one of our favorite Charleston wedding venues, the Historic Rice Mill Building, and is bound to blow your little socks off.  Literally!  They’ve assembled a cast of crazy, talented wedding vendors to provide you an evening of amazing food, awe-inspiring décor and one heck of a good time.  But you know what’s really awesome…they’re offering 2 lucky ALW readers a pair of tickets to attend the event!  That’s right, grab your hubby-to-be, mom or MOH to enjoy this Lowcountry bash!  To enter, leave a comment, tweet us or facebook us telling us just how much you want to attend!  Winners will be chosen next week :)  .

Charleston Wedding Events {The NotWedding}

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the day when our friends at The NotWedding would grace us with their presence and, finally, they’ve answered our prayers!  They’ve teamed up with the crew at Good Food Catering to host their first ever event in Charleston at the Historic Rice Mill Building this summer on June 13th!  For those of you who have never had the pleasure of attending, this is a bridal event you don’t want to miss!

Complete with a sit-down dinner, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show. The hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the “wedding guests” get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and smell the flowers… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises, leaving brides-to-be saying “I want my wedding to be just like that!”.
