We're heading into the weekend with the sweetest pinwheel wedding at Old Wide Awake Plantation from Catherine Ann Photography. Thanks to its inherent Southern Charm, Eleanor & Patrick easily fell in love with their Charleston wedding venue and it's stunning wrap-around porch. They loved how the brick staircase and the cozy vibe made it feel like they were hosting their guests at a family member's home. The Washington DC-residents immediately knew the grand oak trees by the river would be the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony and began planning for a quaint April wedding. Eleanor decided early that pinwheels would be a focal point in her decor and she worked with Winship Productions to create the whimsical Spring day she was envisioning. The morning of the wedding, Eleanor her squad enjoyed on-site makeup from Paper Dolls. Her girls suited up in flowing peach dresses and small bouquets of dusty miller, succulents and roses. The bride herself wore a strapless gown and carried a cascading bouquet from Pretty Petals of Charleston. As guests arrived, they were ushered to the outdoor ceremony site where pinwheels lined the aisle (how cute!). Eleanor & Patrick exchanged vows with views of Old Wide Awake Plantation in the background before celebrating with their guests throughout the evening!
