Christine Kohler graces my morning news (almost) daily as she delivers my weather forecast with a sweet smile, so when Candice from Charleston Event Planning & Design Firm, Yoj Events, submitted her Old Wide Awake Plantation wedding I couldn't wait to share it! Not only are the aqua + pink details bound to be a pinterest hit, but their love story is too precious not to share. The meteorologist and her attorney husband struck up a relationship on Twitter of all places! Their shared love of sports started the back and forth banter and, as they say, the rest is history. For their outdoor Charleston wedding, Chrissy wore a stunning Anna Maier gown with a blush underlay from Maddison Row. Her bridesmaid wore aqua dresses from Bella Bridesmaid. Brook is not only an attorney but also the Executive Director for the SC Brewers' Guild, so the couple were blessed to have breweries from all over the Palmetto State create craft brews for the big day, including local favorite Revelry Brewing Co. who, not only hosted the rehearsal dinner, but also tapped The Bristow for summer occasion. Ok Florist created big, beautiful florals with bright pink florals and tulips to cover the tables and framed quotes from the couple's first tweets to each other hung for guests to read. How sweet is that!? The heat index reached 110 on their wedding day but the couple planned accordingly and kept their guests cool with refreshing sips from Squeeze OnSite and a Ice Cream Bar from Marble Slab Creamery. One of the most touching moments of the night was when the best man who was deployed in the Middle East surprised the couple with a toast via video feed that brought everyone to tears.
