Laura Claire & Brian wanted to share their newly adopted hometown of Charleston with their guests on their wedding day, so they invited their nearest and dearest to join them at The William Aiken House on October 14, 2017. "We've always been drawn to the venue tucked away on King Street," said Laura Claire of the majestic Charleston wedding venue. "We looked at other venues but always knew The William Aiken House was the one." They enlisted the team at Ooh! Events to weave their crisp white color palette and natural greenery effortlessly with the famous yellow of the venue.
Laura Claire's bridal look started with an elegant lace Modern Trousseau gown that she accentuated with multiple family heirlooms including multiple rings that belonged to women in her family. She wore her mother's beautiful veil which her mom purchased while backpacking through Europe at 18 years old. She was in Bruges, Belgium at the time and decided to buy the veil - despite not having a boyfriend at the time - but knew she would never find lace so beautiful in the states. She brought it back home with her and eventually wore it in her wedding in 1985.
