With the entire Lowcountry on high alert from the impending hurricane in our forecast, we thought we'd share some of our favorite sunny days to take your mind off the weather. Stephanie & Clayton picked a beautiful Summer day in June to host their outdoor soiree at The Island House on Johns Island, South Carolina. Stephanie was a dream in a strapless gown with a flowing skirt while her bridesmaids wore pastel pink dresses. She completed her look with a long braid, beaded headband and king protea bouquet. Guests arrived for their outdoor ceremony via a vintage pink VW bus from Lowcountry Valet & Shuttle Co. - adorable, right?! The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful coastal ceremony on the banks of the Stono River where large umbrellas shaded their guests from the Summer sun. After becoming Mr. & Mrs., the newlyweds and their bridal party dug up a bottle of bourbon they buried prior to their wedding. This Southern wedding tradition says that if you bury a completely full bottle upside down exactly a month before your big day that it won't rain on your wedding day...in Stephanie & Clayton's case, it couldn't have been more true! Their reception took place under the tent where pineapples and hurricane lanterns mixed nicely with the crisp white, blues and natural wood details. Thanks to Riverland Studios for capturing all the details.
