We had a wonderful time at our Winter Open House Party last week at 313 East Bay Events. A big thanks goes out to everyone who stopped by to support us, not to mention all of our friends who created the lovely evening - Intrigue Design + Events, Good Food Catering, Lux & Union, Squeeze Cocktail & Beverage, Delicious Desserts, Eventworks, Darby Events, You Are the Arrow and Whitsitt Photography - we couldn't have done it without you! Today, we're getting back into the swing of things with a coastal dream that Julia Akins of Chancey Charm Charleston created with her equally talented husband Ryan Akins of Akins Photography that we're certain you'll love.
From Julia Akins of Chancey Charm Charleston: "When designing this editorial shoot, Ryan and I sought to discover places and things that appealed to the coastal bride’s sense of wonder, familiarity, and romance. We feel like the coastal bride has an interesting mix of competing desires for both adventure and staying close to the people and places that make them feel most at home. This made the beach an obvious starting point for our girl on her big day. We wanted to capture our bride in a setting with beautiful light, that felt natural and comfortable to her, and allowed her to be her most free and confident self. In addition, we wanted to bring her back into a setting that was comfortable, yet set apart for romance, elegance, and celebration. Our second location, Forty Two Ten, provided us with the perfect, raw, modern palette where we could create the feel of a backyard dinner party, or an evening meal of seafood and wine at our favorite local restaurant. We imagined our couple laughing and reminiscing over a delicate Pinot Noir paired with a crab dinner, with all of their closest family and friends. The wood backdrop of Forty Two Ten combined with classic red and milky way roses, soft linens, copper flat ware, and the subtle elegance of Kate Ryan Linen’s ghost chairs, created a warm, inviting, coastal setting. Our brides's simple hair, bold lip, and unconventional dress gave her an air of fashion-forward elegance along with the timeless beauty of our vintage inspired Trumpet and Horn marquise diamond."
