While most of you are contemplating getting out of bed on this rainy Monday morning, I thought a preppy Charleston wedding at The Creek Club at I’On might be just the trick to perk you up. Michelle and Glen tied the knot this past May in what seemed to be the perfect late-Spring day. With hair and makeup from Charleston based PaperDolls Wedding Hair & Makeup, Michelle looked beautiful in a cap-sleeved lace gown from Jo-Lin’s Bridal in Irmo, South Carolina. Michelle carried a magnificent bouquet of giant coral charm peonies mixed with luscious white peonies and dusty miller. Her bridesmaids selected long coral dresses in their choice of neckline with sweet bouquets of coral roses, dusty miller and bluebell from Frampton’s Flowers. We love Michelle’s gift to her parents, a sweet embroidered handkerchief with a touching note for each. With lanterns hanging from the trees and hydrangea arrangements lining the aisle, Michelle’s dad escorted her to Glen where the couple said ‘I do’. As they made their way inside for the reception, the guests were greeted with rocking chairs and patterned pillows in coral and navy. The tables were covered with white linens, navy napkins and charming arrangements of blue hydrangeas, coral roses and individual jam favors at each place setting. Their simple and elegant three-tiered cake was topped with fresh flowers and a gold “Best Day Ever” cake topper. The couple ended their night under the glow of sparklers.
